Psalms&Stretches is a unique way to take time with God while also exercising. The benefits of exercise are well documented, for both physical and mental health and we're seeing more and more evidence suggested that physical exertion combined with mental focus is the KEY?

How can we serve our church commnities but also waht do we have to offer the community around us? In a culture where people are yearning fro focus and connection in a world full of distractions and disconnect so many people are turning to yoga, to secular mindfullness programme and maybe that's ok. But withing the church there are skilled indiviudal, those passioate about moevement as expression and movement as medicine and we feel strongly that there is an offering to be made. A class we can supply that take advantage of modern exercise principalsand and scientific research on brain stuff and puts God at the heart of our wellbeing. Meditiaion and exercise isn't a new thing, and we belive it was designed by God as a powerful tool. This isn't some new age hippy thing and we aren't doing a Christian version of something else. We are using movement and meditation in a creative way, and while not everyone would feel comfortable dancing in fron of the Lord like david, exercise is a activty within the comfort zone of many more and we wish to make it accessible to as many peopl eas possible - will you join us? - but where does God come into this?  As Christians, we put God in the centre of our lives and turn to Him for our needs.
